State oil companies in Latin America (Part 1)


n Latin America there are 10 state oil companies engaged in the exploitation, exploration and production of oil among other things on this continent. Then I present the top five of the list:

Argentina

ENARSA (acronym for Energy Argentina SA) is a public company Argentina dedicated to the study, exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbon deposits, transportation, warehousing, distribution, commercialization and industrialization of these products and their derivatives, transportation and distribution of natural gas, the generation, transmission, distribution of electricity. The ownership of the company is divided: 53% belonging to the national state; 35% public offering; 12% in the hands of the provinces that wish to participate.

At present, ENARSA is working with state-owned Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), thanks to the agreements made between the governments of both countries, especially in the Orinoco Oil Belt.

Bolivia

YPFB (Bolivian Fiscal Oilfields) is a corporation based in La Paz, Bolivia, with activities in exploration, production, transportation and refining of oil and gas. It is a Bolivian public company engaged in the exploration, exploitation, refining, processing, distribution and sale of petroleum and petroleum products.

Brazil
Petrobras is an integrated energy from Brazil joint venture, 15% of its shares owned by the Brazilian government, the largest shareholder being energy sources a major public interests of the Brazilian state; and 49% in private hands. The company is fourth in the ranking of the largest international oil traded companies in the world, besides being the largest company in Latin America.
Petrobras operates actively in the international oil market as well as through the exchange of a large variety of products related to the oil and gas industry.

Chile
The National Petroleum Company (ENAP) is a Chilean state-owned company dedicated exploration, production and marketing of hydrocarbons and their derivatives. The Ministry of Mining. Currently, the last extraction projects were ENAP in Magallanes, Patagonia, currently extracts oil not only matter, refines and markets fuel.

Through its subsidiary ENAP International Petroleum Company SA (ENAP Sipetrol), created in 1990, has operations in countries like Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Yemen, Iran and Egypt.

Colombia
Ecopetrol SA (Empresa Colombiana de Petróleo) formerly Empresa Colombiana de Petroleos SA It is the first oil company of Colombia. It is the 35th largest oil company in the world and the fourth largest oil companies in Latin America. It is a Public Joint Stock Company of the Colombian state dedicated to export, produce, refine and market oil transport.
